| i wish i had more money. | | |
| i am back!
4 days later than scheduled and a lot poorer than anticipated/budgeted, BUT i am now the proud owner of a couple of prada bags & wallet! (1 bag sponsored, other bag on massive sale & wallet no sale but still cheaper than buying it here) now that i've met & own the holy grail of bags i don't need to buy any more bags till my trip up next year!
the holiday was extremely enjoyable; perfect weather throughout - the sun was out, the breeze was fab & there was only about 5 minutes of rain; perfect shopping - managed to buy all the things people had asked for except for ron's, bought myself much lingerie from H&M, my bags & wallet, 2 pairs of heels, some clothes from h&m, zara, miss sixty & diesel (all on sale!) & my harry potter book; decent food - hotel restaurants & room service cost the same as eating out at the cafes/restaurants but better quality; perfect travel companion - same interests, he out-shopped, out-ate, out-drank me but we had really great fun the whole time.
having gone to almost all the places (florence, milan & barcelona) it was nice to go to amsterdam & ibiza as well! amsterdam was pretty in a rather quaint way; the water ways don't make it seem at city-like as milan & barcelona but it still had tons of stuff to do (although after 4 days we'd seen & been almost everywhere). as for ibiza, well.. when we first came out of the airport we were greeted by palm trees. on our way to our hotel, we passed by mounds and mounds of construction & sand piles - certainly not expected, but once we reached the hotel onwards, it was beach, beach & more beach! and the sea breeze was spectacular & made beach lounging an absolute pleasure, without the scorchiness & stickiness. rows and rows of beach bars made sure that we weren't without a drink or snack at any time. oh! & there was tons of topless sunbathers with boobs that reached their belly buttons while lying down & others whose thongs seemed to disappear into the depths of their butt cracks.
it wasn't really much of a sight-seeing trip since the both of us were more inclined to see the shops & the places we wanted to see were closed when we went, but it was great fun & a good break from work. the only bummer was that i got offloaded from my flight (twice!) while he came back as planned, leaving me alone in amsterdam. next couple of days were a bit of an adventure as i tried to buy a ticket back home cos all the flights, on all the airlines, were full! finally managed to buy a one-way ticket back from lon on sun (supposed to have flown on thurs) & got back mon midnight, tues morning & went back into the office on tues morning.
now it's time to start saving till next year - same time, same place! ciao prada!

| I am finally on my mission to get fit. Today i joined the Shape Run 2007 & the SMU oldies vs newbies wakeboarding challenge.
Now i have 2 weeks to get ready for the wakeboarding challenge since i'll be away for 2 weeks & 2 months to get ready for the run.
I'm so psyched i'm about to burst!
Last night was the IVP wakeboarding 2007 prize presentation & i'm so happy that SMU managed to defend their title to win for the second year running. Yay! Congrats to my juniors for doing their best & managing to triumph despite the seriously tough competition last night was also the oldies reunion after 2 years & it got us reminiscing about our own IVP days & all the memories we have together.
Looking at all the juniors & seeing them drink the night away was such a reminder of our own prize presentations; the copius shots of tequila that came with our medals, the happiness we all shared when one of us won a podium position & the fun that we had back in our SMU days.
What I would give to go back in time & relive those carefree days & 6 months' term breaks.
On a totally different note, I just bought my first 5 lots of shares yesterday! I officially own a little part of a company! Hahaha! Now all it has to do is just make some freaking money!
